Pomegranate & Double Happiness — Fertility, Union & Abundant Joy
The pomegranate (shiliu) is China’s supreme symbol of fertility and family abundance — its hundreds of seeds within a single fruit representing the wish for many children and a household overflowing with life and joy. It is among the most traditional wedding gifts in Chinese culture. The double happiness character (嗜嗜) has graced Chinese wedding celebrations for centuries — two happiness characters joined together, representing the perfect union of two souls in a relationship of mutual joy. Together on this reversible pendant, they carry the complete blessing of a joyful, abundant, loving family life.
The perfect wedding or engagement gift — and a beautiful daily talisman for anyone building a home filled with love, laughter, and the sweet abundance of family.
